On days when some or all of the campuses are forced to close due to emergencies or weather, a college-wide communication will be sent out to all Blackhawk students via the SAFE Alert communications system (the Blackhawk emergency notification system). In addition, closing messages will be posted on www.blackhawk.edu and on all college social media channels.

We make every effort to notify area radio and TV stations by 6:00 a.m. for daytime classes and by 3:00 p.m. for evening classes.
